5 original restaurants to celebrate Mother’s Day in a different way
Want to mark the occasion this year? Offer her a unique moment, in an unexpected place. Here are five surprising, tender, confidential and stylish restaurants. To celebrate Mother’s Day far from the clichés.
Maison Brochette: fire as a playground
Far from traditional brochettes, Maison Brochettes offers a culinary experience where the elegance of bistronomy meets the conviviality of the tapas format. The brainchild of chef Bruno Viala, this original concept allows diners to enjoy iconic dishes such as egg mayonnaise, sole meunière and beef bourguignon… on a skewer!
Each bite is designed to combine creativity and flavour, with fresh, seasonal produce to be paired as desired with one of the festive cocktails on the menu. The objective? Deconstruct to better rediscover the emblematic dishes of French cuisine, in a setting reminiscent of a cabinet of curiosities, where every detail is an invitation to amazement.
Maison Brochettes, 10 Rue du Grenier-Saint-Lazare, 75003 Paris
Behind the scenes: a hidden address for an interlude
Hidden behind Andy Wahloo’s bar & 404 restaurant, DERRIÈRE occupies Mourad Mazouz’s former apartment, transformed into a warm and welcoming space where every room has been transformed into an arty reception area. From the living room to the bedroom, from the 70s New York loft-style dining room to the dressing room, the decor, designed by Mourad himself, makes you feel at home with an artist friend. Details abound: paintings, posters, table books here and there, nothing is left to chance. Right down to the toilet, where a bathtub doubles as a sink. Most surprising of all, the mysterious cupboard conceals a smoking room that looks like a cabinet of curiosities. Furiously chic… we love it!
Restaurant Derrière, 69 Rue des Gravilliers, 75003 Paris
Pamela Popo: well-dosed retro chic
The name Pamela Popo is no accident. Inspired by Serge Gainsbourg‘s song of the same name, the place embodies a certain vision of Paris: bohemian, romantic and artistic. The atmosphere is warm and intimate, with retro touches that plunge visitors into an era when elegance and creativity reigned supreme.
With its muted colors and varied spaces, Pamela Popo is a place that invites relaxation and discovery. Whether it’s dinner with friends or a special evening out, every detail of the décor and menu is designed to offer a memorable experience.

Café Poète: for literary and sensitive souls
At 98 rue La Boétie, Café Poète is a timeless place. Immerse yourself in the tranquility of its “literary” decor and enjoy a menu with Mediterranean accents.
Between the legendary Franklin Roosevelt and Champs-Élysées avenues, this artistic and literary establishment enchants visitors from breakfast to dinner. Subdued lighting, stacked books and a hushed ambience make Café Poète an irresistible spot. But what does this confidential address really hide?
The Café Poète menu is a tribute to Mediterranean and European cuisines, offering dishes with instinctive, refined flavors.
