Bvlgari strikes hard: the factory that changes the rules of the game

Bvlgari has set a milestone in the history of luxury jewelry. In Valenza, the Italian Maison is inaugurating an industrial complex that could well transform the very approach to high-end artisanal manufacturing.

A far-reaching industrial ambition

Eight years after its first workshop, Bvlgari – under the LVMH pavilion – is extending its Valenza site by 19,000 m² to more than 33,000 m². This figure alone is enough to put the ambition into perspective: it is now the largest single-brand jewelry production site in the world. A strategic choice of location: the region is renowned for its expertise in goldsmithing.

The complex, renamed Manifattura Bvlgari, boasts a philosophy geared towards sustainability, with over 4,100 photovoltaic panels and a redesigned organization around renewable energies. A strong gesture in a sector still too discreet about its ecological transition.

Training to rule: a school of excellence

What’s surprising, however, is the willingness to pass on the legacy. At the heart of the site, the Scuola Bvlgari, developed with the TADS (Tarì Design School), marks a turning point. Unlike the Bvlgari Academy, reserved for employees, this school is open to the public. It aims to pass on the meticulous gestures of goldsmithing and gem-setting, with an emphasis on microscope training – a detail that speaks volumes about the level of demand.

A cultural and human crossroads

Jean-Christophe Babin, CEO of the Maison, insists on a human and collaborative approach: with over 30 nationalities represented, this Manifattura is intended to be a cultural crossroads, serving one objective: continuous innovation while respecting know-how.

The promise is clear: double production by 2029, reach 1,600 employees and turn the site into an open-air laboratory for tomorrow’s luxury.

Why does this initiative really concern us?

La Manifattura Bvlgari is not just a factory. It’s a strong signal to the luxury industry, a reminder that even in the bastions of prestige, it’s time for renewal. A visit to the Bvlgari factory is a must for any discerning connoisseur of fine jewelry, or anyone curious about the behind-the-scenes creative process.
