This Parisian perfume will change everything, but no one expects it…
Yves Saint Laurent reinvents luxury perfumery with MUSE, an olfactory tribute to its legendary figures. A surprise? Not really. A revolution? Clearly.
Le Vestiaire des Parfums: when fashion evaporates into fragrance
Le Vestiaire des Parfums de Saint Laurent is a collection like no other. Each bottle reflects a particular aspect of the designer’s fashion. Tuxedo, Caban, Saharienne… all his classics are now on show in the perfume department. And in June 2025, a new chapter is written with MUSE, an intriguing creation imagined around an unexpected accord: ink.
MUSE: a perfume between sketch and obsession
Created by Marie Salamagne, MUSE embodies a rare facet of luxury: that of raw imagination. Ink becomes living matter, revealing woody, smoky, almost leathery notes, enhanced by concrete iris and a Bourbon vanilla bean from Madagascar. A tactile, sensory contrast that evokes paper as much as skin, drawing as much as silhouette.
The result? An “exploding skin fragrance”, as its creator describes it. Wear it like an invisible tattoo, day or evening.
A bottle that speaks couture
Designed by Suzanne Dalton, the bottle is more than just a container. Its clean, architectural lines are reminiscent of the master’s cuts. The black Cassandre, placed like a signature on the cap, directly evokes the powder-grain fabric of the legendary YSL tuxedo.
One muse, a thousand faces
More than a name, MUSE pays homage to the women who inspired Yves Saint Laurent: from his mother to his models, from artists to those closest to him. Elegant, androgynous, powerful. This fragrance is their invisible portrait.
