Easter: Lenôtre celebrates the bells of Notre-Dame
This year, Maison Lenôtre is making the bells of Notre-Dame ring with an Easter collection that is both gourmet and heritage-inspired. Between tradition and excellence, each creation embodies French craftsmanship, offering an experience where history and gourmandise meet.
A tribute to French heritage through chocolate
To celebrate Easter, Lenôtre has chosen to highlight one of the capital’s most emblematic symbols: the bells of Notre-Dame de Paris. Under the expert hands of the company’s master chocolatiers, these veritable treasures of French heritage become chocolate sculptures of exceptional finesse. This precision work is a reminder of the importance of craftsmanship, where every detail is conceived as a tribute to French tradition and elegance.
Under the direction of Guy Krenzer, Meilleur Ouvrier de France and Creative Director at Lenôtre, the Easter 2025 collection celebrates both the richness of our cultural heritage and the excellence of the chocolatier. Each piece has been designed to evoke the magic of suspended time and the gourmet tinkle of the Easter festival.
Le Bourdon: a sculptural, gourmet centerpiece by Lenôtre
The centerpiece of this unique collection is Le Bourdon, a monumental chocolate bell inspired by the largest bell in Notre-Dame. Conceived by Étienne Leroy, Lenôtre pastry chef and World Pastry Champion, this creation is a true masterpiece that combines aestheticism and gourmandise. Its design, with its delicately chiselled sculptural lines, recalls the Gothic ornamentation on the bells of the Paris cathedral.
Beneath this chocolate shell, a gourmet nest of chocolate threads encloses precious eggs, delicately adorned with gold leaf, adding the ultimate touch of refinement. This masterly piece, available in a limited edition, embodies the transmission of precise gestures and the excellence of the work of artisan chocolatiers.
Praline bells to prolong the Easter tradition
Lenôtre doesn’t stop at this exceptional creation, and also offers a range of praline cloches, revisiting chocolate classics in several variations. Each variety features an alliance of refined flavors, combining notes of praline, caramel with fleur de sel and dried fruit delicately coated with dark, milk or blond chocolate.
The names of these bells pay tribute to the great female figures of French history. Éléonore combines milk chocolate and hazelnut praline, whileAmandine relies on the intensity of dark chocolate and almond praline. Finally, Charlotte celebrates the subtle balance of blond chocolate and caramelized pecans. These variations allow everyone to find a flavor to suit their taste, while keeping in line with the gourmet tradition of Easter celebrations.
A sublimely textured Easter dessert from Lenôtre
Alongside its chocolate sculptures, Lenôtre has created a signature entremets, combining contrasting textures for a unique taste experience. Beneath its chocolate arabesques,Entremets Cloche reveals a succession of tasty layers: an almond-chocolate crunch, a soft cookie, a melting caramel with fleur de sel and an airy dark chocolate mousse.
The balance between crunchy and fondant, intensity and sweetness, makes this entremets a must-have for lovers of refined chocolate desserts. Available in both individual and family formats, it promises to sublimate festive tables with a touch as elegant as it is gourmet.
An exceptional Easter menu for a complete celebration
Because Easter isn’t just about chocolate, Lenôtre also offers exceptional savoury dishes to accompany this festive occasion. A leg of lamb confit for seven hours, served with seasonal vegetables, promises a meal of conviviality and refinement. For lovers of tradition, pâté en croûte with veal, poultry and foie gras is a must, sublimated by notes of trumpets of death and candied tomatoes.
These dishes, designed to be shared with the whole family, demonstrate Lenôtre’s commitment to offering creations that combine authenticity and culinary excellence.
