Louis Vuitton: a fashion show under the sign of rail travel

For its Fall-Winter 2025-2026 collection, Louis Vuitton turns the train station into a catwalk, celebrating the elegance of travel through the prism of the train.

An inspiring setting: l’Étoile du Nord

Always on the lookout for atypical locations for its shows, Louis Vuitton chose the Étoile du Nord, the former headquarters of a railway company located near the Gare du Nord. A judicious choice that places the collection in the world of the train, a place of encounters, departures and reunions.

Inspired by cinema and iconic works such as 2046 and Casablanca, Nicolas Ghesquière offers a wardrobe in which every silhouette evokes a traveler: from the hushed elegance ofOrient-Express passengers in hand-painted devoured velvet, to the rugged trench coats of urban commuters.

A play of contrasts between nostalgia and modernity

The train, a symbol of nostalgia and futurism, is at the heart of this collection, in which Ghesquière excels in mixing eras and styles. The collection includes :

Historical references with costumes evoking railway employees.

A contemporary approach with structured, dynamic pieces designed for the city.

An unprecedented collaboration with the band Kraftwerk, a nod to the legendary Trans-Europe Express, brings an electro and avant-garde touch to the whole.

Louis Vuitton’s extraordinary finale

Rather than a traditional finale, the models joined the venue’s balconies, mingling with the public to observe the show from another angle. A symbolic gesture that reinforces the message of communion and sharing, the common thread running through this travel-inspired collection.
