Jacquemus welcomes Sarah Benady as new CEO

A few weeks after announcing a strategic partnership with L’Oréal, Jacquemus confirms the arrival of Sarah Benady as new CEO. An important turning point for the French brand.
The name had been circulating for several months, but now it’s official: Sarah Benady is taking over as head of Jacquemus. The news was confirmed by the brand to WWD. With a wealth of experience in the luxury goods industry, Sarah Benady has held key positions at Celine, The Kooples and Ba&sh. She thus becomes the second CEO in Jacquemus history, after Bastien Daguzan, who briefly held the position before his surprise departure in 2023.
An appointment in line with our growth strategy
Sarah Benady ‘s arrival coincides with a major expansion phase for Jacquemus. Earlier this year, the brand formalized a strategic partnership with L’Oréal, involving the acquisition of a minority stake by the cosmetics giant. This move heralds a diversification into the world of beauty, a booming sector for fashion brands.
Ambitious international development for Jacquemus
For several years now, Jacquemus has been stepping up its physical presence internationally. In 2023, the brand inaugurated its first directly-operated boutiques in New York, Dubai and London. New points of sale are due to open soon, notably in Miami and Los Angeles. With Sarah Benady at the helm, this retail strategy is set to intensify.
This appointment marks a new milestone for the brand, which, while retaining its creative DNA under the direction of Simon Porte Jacquemus, is structuring itself to conquer new markets and diversify its offering.
