Take home a piece of Notre-Dame de Paris

A unique competition gives heritage lovers the chance to win a piece of Notre-Dame de Paris cathedral, while contributing to its preservation.

The Fondation du Patrimoine, one of the main contributors to funding the restoration of Notre-Dame de Paris, is organizing an exceptional competition. From March 4 to April 4, 2025, each participant can try to win a real stone from the cathedral, from the elements not reintegrated after the fire of 2019. The aim? To raise funds for the preservation of France’ s religious heritage.

Since its reopening on December 8, the cathedral has attracted almost 30,000 visitors a day. Now, thanks to this competition, it’s possible to own a piece of this historic monument. By making a minimum donation of 40 euros, participants can enter the prize draw, which will select 50 lucky winners. The winners will receive a 7 cm limestone cube, weighing around 800 grams. It will be accompanied by an engraved brass plate, attesting to its authenticity.

How to get involved

The competition is open to all adults who have made a donation on the Fondation du patrimoine website. Once registration has closed, a draw supervised by a bailiff will take place between April 7 and 11, 2025. The results will be announced on April 15, 2025, the sixth anniversary of the Notre-Dame fire.

An initiative to preserve Notre-Dame de Paris

The competition is part of a vast national campaign. Launched at the end of 2023 by Emmanuel Macron, it aims to restore 1,000 religious buildings in four years. In just one year, the Fondation du Patrimoine has already raised 16 million euros. These funds will be allocated to the first 100 buildings in urgent need of restoration.
