Contre Soirée au musée de la Marine: nocturne sur le vestiaire marin
On Thursday, March 6, 2025, the Musée national de la Marine invites you to an exceptional nocturne celebrating the marine wardrobe. Join us for an immersive and festive evening of fashion, workshops and discoveries.
A tribute to marine fashion
During this Contre Soirée, the museum will be showcasing the world of sailor outfits with an original program. Students from the Lycée Paul Poiret will unveil their creations inspired by sailors’ outfits, made from fishing nets recovered in Occitanie. A great way to promote responsible fashion and maritime heritage.
Visitors will also be able to chat with Gabriel Courgeon, in charge of the museum’s textile collections, who will trace thehistory of marine clothing and its evolution in contemporary fashion.
Free immersive activities at the Musée de la Marine
In addition to the exhibits, the evening will feature a number of fun activities:
- Ephemeral tattoo bar: embrace the seafaring spirit with a temporary design.
- Creative workshop: learn how to make a sailor’s bracelet, with an introduction to sailor’s knots.
- Photo booth IA: immortalize your visit with an interactive photo booth.
And to complete the experience, an ephemeral Monument Café bar will be set up in the lobby, where you can enjoy the evening over a drink (for a fee).
