Laetitia Casta, Balmain’s muse for spring-summer 2025

At 46, Laetitia Casta lends her magnetic aura to Balmain by becoming the muse of Olivier Rousteing’s Spring-Summer 2025 collection. A collaboration where elegance and audacity intertwine.

A campaign under the lens of Juergen Teller

Despite a lukewarm critical reception, Balmain’s Spring-Summer 2025 collection relies on strong communication. And, of course, with a renowned creative team. The campaign is by Juergen Teller, a German photographer renowned for his intimate, raw approach to fashion. Accompanied by his wife Dovile Drizyte, he captured Laetitia Casta in a shoot organized at Olivier Rousteing’s home.

The actress and model defies the lens with her eyes, wearing a red top with exaggerated shoulders and matching peg pants. A brass belt emphasizes her silhouette. Lipstick heels add an unexpected touch of glamour. Provocative sunglasses and casual poses in the designer’s salons reinforce this sophisticated rock aesthetic.

A tribute to art and femininity

One of the season’s highlights is the Anthem bag, a 50s-inspired calf leather model belted with a gold buckle. Another emblematic piece is a glittering dress in red, black and flesh sequins, evoking the pop-art works of Tom Wesselmann and recallingYves Saint Laurent‘s famous short cocktail dress.

With this collection, Olivier Rousteing confides that he wants to paint “the many shades of the contemporary woman: confident, fearless, free and extraordinarily chic”. Laetitia Casta, seduced by this vision, says: “When you wear his creations, you never lose your essence.”
