Six Senses launches a wellness program dedicated to women’s hormonal balance

Faced with the lack of information and taboos surrounding women’s hormonal health, Six Senses has teamed up with Dr Mindy Pelz to offer a tailor-made program focusing on perimenopause, menopause and women’s overall well-being.

An urgent need for hormonal health support

According to an IFOP study conducted in 2021, almost one woman in two suffers from painful periods, and menopause remains a poorly understood subject: 48% of women under 50 feel it’s difficult to talk about. This lack of information leads many women to go through these transitional periods without appropriate support.

In response to this reality, Six Senses resorts have developed Female Wellness Programs in collaboration with hormone health specialist Dr Mindy Pelz. This personalized program, lasting 3, 5 or 7 days, aims to provide women with the tools they need to regain hormonal and metabolic balance.

A program based on science and listening to the body

Each participant begins with a wellness diagnostic to assess her biometric markers. Real-time blood glucose monitoring(CGM) is then set up to adapt diet and lifestyle to the hormonal cycle.

“Women have immense power within themselves. Our retreats give them the means to reclaim their bodies and listen to their natural rhythms,” explains Anna Bjurstam, wellness expert at Six Senses.

Stays include support in several key areas:

  • Hormonal cycle management,
  • Fasting and adapted nutrition,
  • Blood glucose measurement and metabolism,
  • Impact of lifestyle on hormonal health,
  • Emotional well-being and stress management.

A three-level path for lasting results

  • 3 days: introduction to the basics of hormonal and metabolic balance.
  • 5 days: in-depth study of factors influencing mood, appetite, sleep and mental clarity.
  • 7 days: in-depth work on weight, metabolic flexibility and detoxification, for lasting well-being even after your stay.

“We want to help women thrive, not just survive,” says Dr Mindy Pelz. This innovative program offers them a comprehensive approach to regaining energy and balance, and learning to listen to their bodies.

Already available in five Six Senses establishments, this initiative marks a major step forward in women’s well-being.
