Clarks celebrates its 200th anniversary with an exclusive pop-up store in Paris

To mark its bicentenary, Clarks is celebrating its history with a pop-up store in Paris from February 25 to March 2.

This year, the famous British footwear brand Clarks celebrates its 200th birthday in style. To mark this remarkable milestone, the brand is setting up shop in Paris in an exceptional pop-up store at 7 rue Sainte-Croix de la Bretonnerie. The event, open to the public from 10am to 7pm, promises an immersive dive into the timeless world of Clarks.

From historical archives to contemporary creations

The Parisian pop-up offers the ideal opportunity to (re)discover timeless Clarks classics such as the legendary Wallabee, the iconic Desert Boot and the Desert Trek. But the event doesn’t stop there: it also features a customization workshop in partnership with Parisian atelier Adaptism. Founded by designers Paul Youenn and Eliott Vallin, Adaptism revisits Clarks’ flagship models with unique patches made from leather scraps from the brand’s Portuguese factories. A fine example of creative and sustainableupcycling.

An exclusive documentary: “From Somerset to the World”.

Clarks would also like to take advantage of this anniversary to recall its rich heritage. To mark the occasion, the brand is releasing a never-before-seen documentary entitled “From Somerset to the World”, narrated by American rapper Mos Def (Yasiin Bey). Unveiled as a preview at an exclusive party at the Bains Paris, attended by stylist Martine Rose and Danielle Cathari, among others, the film retraces the milestones in Clarks’ international history, from Somerset to Jamaica, Japan and the United States. For those who can’t make it, the documentary is already available free of charge on the brand’s YouTube channel.

A Europe-wide celebration

After Paris, Clarks will continue its festivities in other major European cities, including Berlin, Barcelona, Milan, Amsterdam and Copenhagen. Special collaborations and exclusive events will also be offered by partners such as Citadium and Merci in Paris, and Solebox in Germany. Under the impetus of Artistic Director Matteo Bellentani, the brand’s European presence will be further strengthened.
