“The White Lotus” season 3: the hotels where the series was filmed

After Hawaii and Italy, the famous series The White Lotus returns to HBO Max with a third season filmed in three prestigious hotels in Thailand.

The satirical series created by Mike White made its long-awaited return to HBO Max on February 17, 2025, taking viewers to a new world of paradise: Thailand. This third season still follows the chaotic vacation of a group of wealthy tourists, this time in the heart ofSoutheast Asia’s splendid landscapes.

Anantara hotels at the heart of the shoot

To create the sophisticated ambience typical of the series, the production team set up shop in several exceptional establishments belonging to the Anantara Hotels chain.

Anantara Bophut Koh Samui Resort
This iconic hotel on Bophut Beach boasts an authentic Thai design by renowned architect Bill Bensley. On screen, the lobby, parking lot, jewelry store and lush gardens become ” The White Lotus Thailand “.

Anantara Lawana Koh Samui Resort
Set on a private beach in Chaweng, this resort perfectly embodies the marriage between contemporary luxury and Thai cultural heritage. Its flagship venue, the Singing Bird Lounge, a bar nestled in a century-old tree, plays host to several of the new season’s key stages.

Anantara Mai Khao Phuket Villas
Located in Phuket, this luxury resort with 183 villas and suites is the backdrop to the “Sanctuary of Wellbeing” and the Spa featuring Belinda, a character already featured in the first season. Its peaceful atmosphere contrasts with the dramatic tensions typical of the series.

Between luxury and social satire

With these magnificent locations, the series continues to explore the contradictions of wealth, blending elegance with acerbic criticism of the elite. Once again, Mike White succeeds in creating an ideal setting where luxury, comedy and drama coexist in perfect balance.

Season 3 of “The White Lotus” is available now on HBO Max.
