Flonflon: a Parisian bistro as we like it in the 17th arrondissement

Just off the Champs Élysées, Flonflon is certainly one of our favorite bistros in the 17th arrondissement. If the name evokes a song, it’s not by chance. Owner and chef Pierre-Thomas Clément has paid tribute to Alain Souchon and the spirit of Parisian fun.

A passionate chef with a prestigious career

Behind the stove (oven and mill), Pierre-Thomas Clément instills a remarkable savoir-faire, acquired from some of the greatest names in French gastronomy. Trained at the Ferrandi school, he honed his talent alongsideAlain Ducasse, Joël Robuchon and Pierre Gagnaire before embarking on his own adventure. With Flonflon, he aims to revive the bistros of yesteryear. Those where it’s good to live, eat and socialize.

The gamble paid off: Flonflon is a real neighborhood address. You know what to expect and why you’re going there. Good food. From the lively midday to the effervescent evening, any time is ideal at Pierre-Thomas.

A friendly setting for a change

As soon as you enter, Flonflon immerses you in a warm, trendy atmosphere. Far from the clichés of the outdated, dusty bistro, the establishment is upholstered in Jean-Paul Gaultier. A little Art Deco, a few industrial touches and, above all, some superb African feather headdresses. To the left of the bar, a large display case lights up a beautiful collection of rums (a passion of the chef’s, which he’ll be happy to pass on to you). In the evening, the restaurant takes on a different look. The lights are dimmed (without plunging us into darkness!), and the atmosphere is alive with the rhythm of the Champs-Élysées nightlife.

A short, controlled and tasty menu

At Flonflon, there’s nothing superfluous: the menu focuses on the essentials. Pierre-Thomas Clément favors generous, authentic, no-fuss cuisine, where seasonal produce is sublimated with intelligence.

The menu, which changes every two months, features signature dishes that revisit the classics of French cuisine. The finger food menu is well worth a visit, especially for after-work drinks and cocktails.

Each plate is generous, carefully prepared and full of flavor, all accompanied by efficient, friendly service.

Flonflon, a favorite Paris address

Since opening in summer 2022, Flonflon has quickly become a fixture in the 17th arrondissement. Far removed from passing trends, this warm, modern bistro proves that traditional cuisine still has a bright future ahead of it.

For lunch with colleagues, dinner for two or a drink with friends, Flonflon is a place of simplicity and culinary excellence. We can’t recommend it enough as an after-work or before-work venue for your evening out in the neighborhood.
