Louis Vuitton enters the field
Luxury brand Louis Vuitton unveils a daring soccer shoe, combining high fashion and sporting performance.
Louis Vuitton, synonymous with elegance and innovation, surprises with the launch of its very first soccer shoe. Presented at Paris Fashion Week, this creation combines sophisticated design with iconic sporting references. With a black leather upper and a tongue covering the laces, the shoe is reminiscent of iconic ’90s models such as the Adidas Predator. It proudly displays the LV+VERS UNITED emblem and a Footprint outsole, an innovation by the House’s creative director Pharrell Williams.
A blend of tradition and innovation
The black version, unveiled exclusively at the show, will be accompanied by four other colors: red, white, blue and dark green. This launch marks an important step for Louis Vuitton, which is inspired by the world of soccer while maintaining its luxurious essence. Elements such as the ball-shaped bag and the full suit presented at the show underline this approach.
Luxury and sport, a strategic alliance for Louis Vuitton
The link between Louis Vuitton and soccer is not new. Under the impetus of Virgil Abloh, the House has already explored bridges between sport and luxury. Collaborations with the NBA, such as the famous Larry O’Brien trophy case or creations for Madison Square Garden, are striking examples. With the 2026 World Cup set to take place largely in the United States, Louis Vuitton is anticipating a global craze by offering collections combining fashion and performance.
By integrating soccer into its universe, Louis Vuitton continues its quest for innovation, while affirming its ability to evolve with global trends. This soccer shoe, a blend of modernity and homage to the classics, promises to seduce sports enthusiasts and fashion lovers alike.
