Air France enriches its customer experience with the launch of AF001, an exclusive fragrance designed by Francis Kurkdjian.

Air France once again asserts its role as ambassador of French know-how with the unveiling of its first olfactory signature. The room fragrance, AF001, was created by Francis Kurkdjian. He is the renowned perfumer behind such iconic creations as Le Mâle by Jean-Paul Gaultier and Baccarat Rouge. This light, fresh and comforting fragrance will be diffused in the Air France lounges at Paris-Charles de Gaulle. It will be gradually rolled out internationally.

A sensory experience for luxury

Composed of a musky accord sublimated by mimosa from Provence, as well as notes of rose and jasmine, AF001 expresses French elegance and authenticity. For Francis Kurkdjian, the idea is to capture “the illusion of a sunbeam on the wings of an airplane”. This initiative reinforces the brand’s high-end identity, while adding an extra touch of refinement to its spaces.

Culinary and olfactory excellence at the heart of Air France strategy

This olfactory signature is part of a global strategy to promote French excellence. At the same time, Air France is working with Michelin-starred chefs such as Glenn Viel, Arnaud Lallement and Dominique Crenn to enhance the menus in First and Business classes. Desserts are entrusted to Philippe Rigollot and Nina Métayer. And Xavier Thuizat, head sommelier at the Hôtel de Crillon, is in charge of the wine selection.
