5 festive restaurants for an evening out with your girlfriends
We can’t recommend these festive restaurants highly enough. Get together with your girlfriends and indulge in Saturday night (or not) fever. With their chic, mythical decor, exotic or frankly French cuisine, you’re sure to have a wonderful time!
Behind it, arty chic
Hidden behind Andy Wahloo’s bar & 404 restaurant, DERRIÈRE occupies Mourad Mazouz’s former apartment, transformed into a warm and welcoming space where every room has been transformed into an arty reception area. From the living room to the bedroom, from the 70s New York loft-style dining room to the dressing room, the decor, designed by Mourad himself, makes you feel at home with an artist friend. Details abound: paintings, posters, table books here and there, nothing is left to chance. Right down to the toilet, where a bathtub doubles as a sink. Most surprising of all, the mysterious cupboard conceals a smoking room that looks like a cabinet of curiosities. Furiously chic… we love it!
69 rue des Gravilliers, 75003. Please book in advance.
Suelo, Iberian glam
Architect Lázaro Rosa Violan designed Suelo as a warm cocoon, inspired by the colors of his native Spain. Frescoes evoking the Parc Güell, rounded sofas, imposing chandeliers and a seductive bar make up this space where diners linger (kitchens open until 11pm). Already a favorite with celebrities and gilded families, PSG footballers and international influencers flock here. At the helm is Vincent Biessy, aka DJ Magnum, famous for his collaborations with artists such as Snoop Dogg and Rihanna. Suelo combines refinement with a festive spirit, attracting elegant couples and lively tables for memorable evenings.

Le Bœuf sur le toit, the legendary restaurant
Inaugurated in 1922, this Music-Hall restaurant with its vast Art Deco hall was a landmark of the Roaring Twenties. Jean Cocteau left his paintings here, while Christian Dior and Coco Chanel made it their haunt. Today, Alexis Mabille revisits the early Art Deco spirit with a modern twist. Bought by Moma Group in 2017, Benjamin Patou, Patrick Bruel and Valérie Boukobza are breathing new life into this legendary venue. The program promises jazz concerts, live performances and improvised jams, celebrating the alliance of its heritage and contemporary energy. A Parisian must, where history and modernity meet in a festive atmosphere.
