Jacquemus and Trudon: a fragrant collaboration
For the festive season, Jacquemus has teamed up with Trudon to launch a limited edition candle. A creation that evokes the elegance and scents of the Mediterranean.
Winter comfort
Simon Porte Jacquemus, a designer with a style steeped in his native Provence, is venturing once again into the world of lifestyle. This winter, he collaborates with Trudon, a French wax house founded in 1643. The result is a refined candle. The candle is part of the Winter Retreat collection, a nod to the warmth and comfort of winter.
The candle, weighing 270 grams, features the emblematic Abd El Kader fragrance, selected for its notes of mint, ginger, clove, lemon and blackcurrant. These aromas evoke the freshness and Mediterranean flavors so dear to Jacquemus. Every detail of this limited edition is designed to marry Jacquemus’ minimalist aesthetic with Trudon’s heritage.
Accessible luxury: a well-thought-out strategy
The candle is accompanied by elegant accessories: an engraved oak wood holder, a steel lid and a matching matchbox. This piece is part of an“access luxury” approach, a trend that makes luxury more affordable. Available in a price range from 10 to 110 euros, this collection also includes revisited everyday objects. These include a Mikado game, a hot-water bottle and a yoyo.
At a time when the luxury goods sector is experiencing a growing polarization of its clientele, Jacquemus is diversifying its offer. It is appealing to a broader public, while remaining true to its creative DNA. The launch of this collaboration is also part of a more global expansion strategy, with Simon Porte Jacquemus having recently expressed interest in the beauty sector.
