A love letter to Italian culture
Presented for the first time at Milan’s Palazzo Reale, facing the majestic Duomo, this exhibition drew crowds between April and July 2024. Dolce&Gabbana, founded in 1985 by Domenico Dolce and Stefano Gabbana, chose to highlight its most emblematic creations. Featuring 220 haute-couture pieces, the exhibition offered a glimpse of craftsmanship and inspiration drawn from the richness of Italian culture.
For its latest stage, the exhibition is taking up residence in the newly renovated Grand Palais. This Parisian showcase will host the installation’s ten immersive rooms. Each room will feature a unique décor and sound ambiance, immersing visitors in a kaleidoscope of the many facets of the Italian fashion house.
An experience between past and present
Du Coeur à la Main is much more than just a retrospective. Thealta moda (haute couture) andalta sartoria (tailoring) workshops recreated for the occasion highlight the brand’s artisanal roots. At the same time, the exhibition makes connections with Italian art history, architecture, music and cinema. These inspirations are interwoven in a spectacular staging.
To anchor this celebration in modernity, Dolce&Gabbana incorporates contemporary works by artists such as Felice Limosani and Quayola. These innovative collaborations create a dialogue between tradition and contemporary fashion, making the experience resolutely contemporary.
A major cultural opening in Paris
The exhibition, which runs from January 10 to March 31, 2025, inaugurates an eventful year for the Grand Palais. Tickets will be available from November 20, 2024 at 11am on paris.dolcegabbanaexhibition.com.
