Robert-Houdin inspires the world of luxury
Robert-Houdin, a contemporary of the first great creators of luxury houses, embodies the excellence of French savoir-faire. As a watchmaker of genius, his horological creations have inspired generations of watchmakers, including the famous jeweler Louis François Cartier.
He is notably the inventor of the mysterious clocks, perpetuated by watchmaker Maurice Couët exclusively for the Maison Cartier. These clocks, cleverly designed to give the illusion that the hands are floating in the crystal, are true objects of fascination. Symbols of French luxury and refinement.
As a tribute to his inventive genius, Louis Vuitton has created its own Tambour Mystérieuse. A watch with complications that completely conceals its mechanism, reinventing the concept of watchmaking magic with rare ingenuity and airy lightness.
