Experience the 23rd edition of the Barrière Enghien Jazz Festival
From Thursday June 20 to Sunday June 23, 2024, the Resort Barrière Enghien-les-Bains, creator, organizer and producer of the Jazz Festival since 2000, looks forward to seeing you at the start of summer for its 23ᵉ edition.
Once again this year, the Barrière Enghien Jazz Festival will once again bring French and international artists to the festival over four days, much to the delight of festival-goers… Maybe you’ll be one of them! Tailor-made for Enghien-Les-Bains by the Barrière group in June 2000, the Barrière Enghien Jazz Festival is based on the fact that gospel, blues and jazz are at the origin of most of today’s musical rhythms.
It is therefore designed to be open to all these musical genres, as well as to the multiple currents that have emerged from them. It also fosters encounters between legendary headliners and emerging talents. Last but not least, it builds bridges between generations of audiences by promoting accessibility to the widest possible audience with its free open-air concerts. From the jazz club to the floating stage on the lake, via the Jardin des Roses stage, the concerts – most of which are free – follow one another in a euphoria of sounds and rhythms that invite you to dance or take a spiritual stroll.
Barrière Enghien Jazz Festival: 4 days of madness
As for the festival’s vibrant and eclectic line-up, no fewer than 16 jazz artists and groups will be present at the event! They include the young and talented Nirek Mokar, the spellbinding Haylen, the dynamic NALLA, the legendary Matt Bianco and Johnny Gallagher. The latter, recognized as one of the finest guitarists on the European circuit, has been performing for years at festivals, clubs and venues all over the continent. With a powerful, saturated rock’n’roll sound, he alternates original compositions with astonishing personal versions of great classics (Pink Floyd, The Band, Lynyrd Skynyrd, Hendrix, Peter Green and Jimmie Rodgers, among others)!
Last but not least, don’t miss Electro Deluxe. For over twenty years, Electro Deluxe has distinguished itself with a unique, original sound, a super-vitamin cocktail of soul and funk with a distinctive character. The band, with its relentless rhythmic drive, explosive brass section and charismatic singer, has never stopped exploring musical frontiers without regard for boundaries or labels. After the success of Apollo (2019), the band is back to basics with a new album, “Next” (January 2024). This desire to return to their first love, FUNK and SOUL, is reflected in the exceptional presence of prestigious guests such as Candy Dulfer, Dave Stewart, Nils Landgren and Fred Wesley.
