La Coquillade Village, a luxurious haven of peace in the heart of Provence

Perched on a hill in the Luberon, Le Coquillade Village is a haven of peace with the feel of a small village. Combining Provencal charm with top-of-the-range hotel services… Immersion.

After extensive renovations, La Coquillade Village came into being in 2008, under the impetus of Carmen & Werner Wunderli. A Swiss couple in love with the South of France. As soon as you arrive, you’re immediately captivated by the majestic driveway, lined with trees and lavender, leading up to the estate. Built around an 11th-century hamlet – founded by Cistercian monks from the Abbaye de Sénanque, according to legend – Coquillade Village was awarded the European Ecolabel in 2012. It boasts 63 magnificent rooms, including 42 sumptuous suites, imbued with softness and elegance.

In the morning, with advice from the showroom’s cycling experts, you can explore Gordes or Roussillon on an electric bike!

On the way back, there are no fewer than 3 restaurants on the estate. The “Coquillade” offers classic (and exquisite) French cuisine revisited by chef Thierry Enderlin. Produce is sourced from the organic vegetable garden and the region. The menu at “Les Vignes”, on the other hand, features bistro-style dishes that are nonetheless excellent.

As for “Il Ristorante”, it will be perfect for lovers of sunny, tasty Italian cuisine.

Surrounded by a 36-hectare Aureto vineyard, La Coquillade offers an idyllic setting for wine tourism enthusiasts, who can even taste the Aureto AOC Ventoux and Luberon wines in the cellar!

An exceptional relaxation area

Relax on one of our sun loungers. Surrounded by restanques and century-old olive trees, the atmosphere is rich in history. Alternatively? Relax in one of the two sublime outdoor pools.

For the perfect continuation of this wellness interlude, head for the “SPA & Wellness Center Coquillade”! With its large, open-plan living spaces, this cosy complex offers incredible views over the Calavon valley and the hilltop villages of the Luberon, and invites you to totally unwind.

On the program: sauna, hammam, hydrotherapy, sensory shower, hydro-massaging steam bath, ice fountain, scrub bar, Kneipp basins, sensory shower and heated indoor pool. Not to mention the fitness room with its state-of-the-art equipment… Voted Europe’s best spa 2018, this 1,500 m² setting is designed as a timeless place. The massages provided by Esthederm’s professional staff are equally exceptional and highly relaxing.

Whether for a single day or a long weekend, this Epicurean paradise is undoubtedly the ideal summer destination.
