Danny Khezzar opens his bistro in Rueil-Malmaison
Danny Khezzar, Top Chef finalist and Swiss Michelin-starred chef, unveils an unusual location (in his own image), perched 14 meters above ground, just outside Paris.
Chef Danny Khezzar, revealed to the public on Top Chef and awarded a star in Switzerland, is embarking on a new culinary adventure with the opening of his very first bistro, Monsieur Claude. Located in Rueil-Malmaison, this unique restaurant pays tribute to his grandfather, a chef, and follows in the footsteps of Bistrots Pas Parisiens with a promise: affordable chef’s cuisine for under 50 euros.
A complete experience: cuisine, cocktails and live music
Designed as a complete living space, Monsieur Claude combines inventive gastronomy, signature cocktails and live music. Right from the start, the tone is set: trompe-l’œil amuse-bouche, snails with fermented garlic, Jerusalem artichoke and tonka bean. Dishes pay homage to his multiple influences, from Japanese charcoal-grilled pollack Binchotan to Metzger onglet, a revisited bistro classic. On the sweet side, the chef dares with shitaké praline and burnt vanilla apple.
But Monsieur Claude doesn’t stop at the plate. A central piano bar, run by Vincent Steiner, the chef’s brother and France’s Best Apprentice Barman, offers a cocktail menu inspired by songs and a spellbinding musical ambience. Every evening, voices and piano transform the place into a hushed setting.
From June 2025, a panoramic rooftop will complete this already outstanding experience. A new must-see spot for fine weather, combining elegance, boldness and conviviality.
