McQueen reinvents his cult clutch: six fist-wearing pieces

At McQueen, the evening bag is never a simple accessory. It becomes a totem of style, a leather sculpture, a dramatic jewel. This season, the British fashion house unveils a limited-edition capsule of six evening clutches that revisit the famous Knuckle Clutch, an icon born in 2009 under the impetus of Lee Alexander McQueen.

With its armor-ring handles, the Knuckle Clutch is more than a bag: it’s a manifesto of feminine power, an aesthetic statement. Each model in this new capsule takes this alliance between silversmithing and couture, between dark romanticism and chic subversion, a step further.
The iconic design is reinvented through reinterpreted archival elements, volume embroidery and sumptuous textures. Halfway between gothic relic and evening talisman, each piece is a visual narrative.
The Rose and the Serpent: baroque and mystical charm
Among the creations, the Rose and Snake Knuckle Clutch is striking for its black poetry. A snake coiled around a rose adorned with a skull, all on black leather embroidered with pearl flowers and crystals. Available in gold or silver finishes, it evokes a theatrical chiaroscuro, where romance mingles with danger.

Another nod to the archives, the Rose Knuckle Clutch is inspired by the English rose. Its black satin is punctuated with jet crystals, while metallic roses adorn the handle, like a piece of Victorian jewelry. Dramatic elegance is pushed to the limit, oscillating between purity and darkness.

Finally, the Spider Jewelled Knuckle Clutch pays tribute to the beauty of forgotten creatures. With its four jeweled rings, one of which features a spider, it comes in two variations: one dazzling, the other nocturnal, embroidered with silver pearls on black leather. An assertively feminine piece, between attraction and repulsion.
