Madonna Osteria: Northern Italy in the heart of Paris

Since its opening in September 2023, Madonna Osteria has been blowing a breath of authentic Italian air into the capital. The restaurant offers total immersion in the world of Milanese and Turinese tables. Here, no pizzas, but refined transalpine cuisine, served in a decor that revives tradition with modernity.

100% Italian cuisine, far from clichés

Why Madonna Osteria? The name pays homage to the Madonna del Duomo, the golden statue that watches over Milan from the top of its cathedral. A strong reference that reflects the restaurant’sLombardy and Piedmont roots.

Behind the stoves, chef Luigi Capuano and his second Andrea Paoleli celebrate authentic recipes prepared with seasonal produce sourced directly from Italy. Here, each dish tells a story and sublimates the best of Italy’s terroir.

Among the must-try items on the menu, we recommend vitello tonnato, osso buco, slowly simmered for perfect tenderness. The escalope milanaise, a piece of veal breaded and browned to perfection, served large and cut at the table. And last but not least, tiramisu monté minute, a gourmet spectacle created right before our customers’ eyes.

Attention to fresh produce and short supply chains is at the heart of the restaurant’s philosophy. All the cheeses, vegetables and olive oils are selected exclusively from Italian producers, while the meat is of French origin.

A warm setting between Paris and Milan

Madonna Osteria has preserved the soul of the place, retaining certain emblematic elements of the old establishment. Original woodwork, mosaic floors, a Parisian counter… These typical touches are enhanced by a warm, elegant decor: green velvet banquettes, refined lighting and, above all, a monumental fresco by Roberto Ruspoli. This Roman artist, known for his collaborations with the Parisian brand Sézane and the Italian Embassy, brought an artistic touch to the space, reinforcing the restaurant’sstrong visual identity.

The waiters, dressed in white shirts, black jackets and bow ties, are reminiscent of traditional Italian brasseries, adding a touch of refinement to the experience.

A restaurant for every occasion

With 120 covers, Madonna Osteria knows how to play with atmosphere: large tables for Italian-style conviviality, but also more intimate spaces, perfect for a romantic dinner or a business meal. In summer, a terrace lets you enjoy the mild Parisian weather.

The clientele is varied: businessmen, local regulars, groups of friends and curious tourists mingle in an elegant yet relaxed atmosphere.

A carefully thought-out wine and cocktail list

When it comes to drinks, Madonna Osteria doesn’t do things by halves. A 100% Italian menu, with over 30 carefully selected wines. Creative cocktails and mocktails, dreamed up by in-house mixologist Pierre, who renews the menu three or four times a year, along with the dishes. Italian sodas for a light accompaniment to meals.

With its warm welcome and sincere, refined cuisine, Madonna Osteria is one of the best Italian addresses in Paris.
