Monsieur Bleu, brunch and a view

Few places in Paris manage to marry gastronomy, design and atmosphere with such elegance. Monsieur Bleu (paradoxically green), Paris Society’s flagship restaurant, is positioned as an aesthetic and gourmet enclave in the heart of the Palais de Tokyo. Although the place has been renowned since it opened in the spring of 2013, it’s above all the weekend brunch that has foodies buzzing… provided you know about it.
A set designed as a work of art
Upon entering, the effect is immediate: the eye is drawn to the dizzyingly high ceilings (10 meters), bronze walls, Sixties-style furniture and decorative elements blending Art Deco and minimalist modernity. All orchestrated by architect Joseph Dirand, whose inspiration is drawn from the works ofYves Klein andAdolf Loos.
The furniture, from Saarinen chairs to acid velvet, is part of a subtle palette that evokes the glamour of the 1930s, revisited with a contemporary eye. High-reliefs by Lalique on the walls reinforce the museum-like feel of the space. But there’s no austerity here: the atmosphere remains convivial, halfway between chic brasserie and arty Parisian club.
A confidential terrace… with a view of the Eiffel Tower
Outside, the magic works even harder. A slightly recessed terrace planted with trees offers a luxurious interlude with a direct view of the Eiffel Tower. Nestled in XXL green sofas, we savor a rare moment, between Mediterranean garden and urban landscape.
The perfect spot for a brunch away from the hustle and bustle of Paris, while remaining right in the heart of the capital.
An ultra-visual, generous, home-cooked brunch
But what’s on the plate? Nothing excessive, everything under control. Monsieur Bleu’s international cuisine focuses on freshness, seasonal produce and a discreet touch of creativity. Freshly squeezed juices, vitamin-packed plates, dishes to share or individual dishes: brunch is a moment of abundance without heaviness. On the day of our visit, we tried a tuna and avocado tartare that was remarkable for its freshness. Bruschetta, simple but bursting with the sunshine we craved, and lobster rolls that lived up to their promise. The highlight of the meal? A delicious apple tart to share. An immediate return to childhood memories.
Here, generosity doesn’t mean overkill. In short, a brunch as Instagrammable as it is comforting.
The address that continues to make headlines
For over ten years, Monsieur Bleu has remained on the radar of insiders. And that’s no accident. By combining discreet luxury, exceptional views and masterful culinary programming, the place offers a unique experience that stands the test of time. In the evening, its bar continues the adventure for elegant night owls, confirming its status as an arty haunt par excellence.
