A giant Mexican terrace set up opposite the Eiffel Tower

Forget classic rooftops, wise guinguettes or overcrowded aperitifs. From May 5, 2025, an XXL Mexican food market will electrify your evenings at the foot of the Iron Lady, on the esplanade of the Paris Aquarium. The name? Casa Trocadéro. Its promise? An immersive, caliente and totally exotic experience, right in the heart of the 16th arrondissement.

Welcome to México… without leaving Paris

The ephemeral spot takes the place of “Place Suisse” (where raclette and fondue were enjoyed in winter) and transforms itself into a Mexican-style street market. From the very first steps, the tone is set: colorful garlands, calaveras, giant cacti, Latin music and steaming stalls where you can already smell the homemade guacamole.

You’re transported to Guadalajara or Oaxaca, where food trucks resemble Mexican casas and giant party terraces. The atmosphere? Warm, happy and festive, just like a Saturday night in Tulum.

Street food flavours, a fiery atmosphere

Tacos, quesadillas, tortillas, crispy nachos, not to mention tequila and mezcal cocktails: Casa Trocadéro is all about generous street food and shared experiences. All accompanied by live mariachis, who circulate among the audience, guitar in hand and smiles plastered on their faces.

In the evening, open-air DJ sets under the subdued lights of a now-tropical Paris. The icing on the taco: a breathtaking view of the Eiffel Tower, to spice up your Instagram stories.

Why you’ll love it

Casa Trocadéro is the perfect cocktail of a change of scenery, conviviality and authentic flavors. And it’s all available free of charge, right in the heart of the capital. The ideal address for a different kind of afterwork, a drink with friends, or an open-air date, without having to catch a plane.
