The Victoria and Albert Museum joins forces with Burberry to transform its fashion gallery in an ambitious and innovative way. The partnership reflects their shared commitment to innovation and the preservation of cultural heritage.

Temporary closure for a makeover

The V&A’s fashion gallery will close in May 2025 to begin renovation work. The initiative aims to modernize the space, making it more interactive and accessible to the public.

Reopening as “The Burberry Gallery”.

The museum will rename the gallery “The Burberry Gallery” when it reopens in spring 2027. The new space will showcase five centuries of fashion, mixing iconic pieces with contemporary creations.

A commitment to education and inclusiveness

The partnership includes educational workshops to make fashion and its history accessible to all audiences. This initiative underlines the importance of cultural education in the field of fashion.
