Lana Del Rey signs her return with “Henry, come on”, prelude to a long-awaited country album

Lana Del Rey unveils the first single from her tenth album. Announced for release on May 21, 2025, The Right Person Will Stay marks a definite shift towards country sounds and more streamlined songwriting.

A return to grace, between nostalgia and Americana

On her Instagram account, Lana Del Rey surprised fans with a shot featuring a carefully retro aesthetic: white lace dress, coral lips and wavy hair. An image imbued with softness, accompanied by a revelation: the first single from her forthcoming album will be entitled “Henry, come on”. While the exact release date has yet to be announced, this visual and poetic announcement is enough to awaken anticipation for this new project.

The song, first hinted at in a mysterious video back in January, was co-written with Luke Laird, a well-known figure on the Nashville country scene and two-time Grammy Award winner. A strong clue to the album’s musical direction.

Country, but the Lana version

For several months now, rumors have been swirling: would Lana Del Rey finally take the step towards a fully country album? The artist herself dispelled any doubts in an interview with Vogue, where she confided that “all [ses] albums are rooted in Americana” and that this new creation would adopt the more assertive codes of classic country and Southern Gothic. An evolution rather than a rupture, in a discography where melancholy ballads and American culture hold a central place.

Lyrically, Lana promises lighter lyrics, without denying her literary sensibility. This nuanced turn of direction promises to be a natural, even calmer, continuation of her universe.

A summer of live music

The launch of The Right Person Will Stay is accompanied by a summer tour of the UK and Ireland, with a highlight: a ground-breaking concert at Wembley Stadium, scheduled for July 3, 2025. A consecration for a singer who, album after album, has managed to impose a singular voice, far from formats.

With Henry, come on, Lana Del Rey opens a new page. Intimate, country, and always deeply herself.
