This Parisian temple where your dog lives better than you (until April 20)

What if the real king of Paris wasn’t the one we think? Le Bon Marché Rive Gauche shakes the walls of propriety with an exhibition as offbeat as it is ultra-premium: Je t’aime comme un chien (I love you like a dog).

Set design with bite

It’s impossible to miss the bone-shaped escalators. Not even the 200 luxury houses gathered around man’s best friend, or the unlikely events such as VIP grooming. Far from being content with a simple tribute, the Parisian department store transforms its floors into a veritable playground for privileged canines. And masters are not forgotten. Now Hot Dog offers a gourmet break, while the Gamelles Pleines association benefits from a welcome charity operation.

The dog, the new king of hype

Why is it so popular? Because the dog has become a mirror of our lifestyle, and an extension of our image. This is perfectly captured in this exhibition, where every detail flirts withhyper-personalization.

These include creations such as the Hollywoof Cinema kit, perfect for stylish TV parties, Barbour dog coats in fleece-lined tartan, and Scout’s Honour badges, a funny and chic nod to the “dog scout” spirit.

A niche magazine (literally)

Since March 1, a kiosk-niche has even been set up on the 2nd floor, offering a selection of books and objects dedicated… exclusively to dogs. The best part? Alpha Dogs House beauty salon and dog-sitting service while you shop.
