A Hollywood star. A Parisian cabinet of curiosities. An elephant. The story is just beginning.

A meeting between nature and legend

When Johnny Depp enters Deyrolleit’s not to play a role. It’s the artist who invites himself into a mythical place, passionate about biodiversity and the transmission of living things. Since 1866, this Parisian house has fascinated creators. Picasso, Dali, Breton… all have found inspiration here. Today, Johnny Depp is putting his signature to it with an original work: Paciderm.

“Paciderm”, a powerful tribute

The work is entitled Paciderm. It depicts an elephant, a fragile yet majestic figure. The edition is 250 copies, all numbered and signed. Johnny Depp confesses his personal attachment to this animal. He describes it as “gentle and strong at the same time”. Through it, the actor-artist evokes the endangered beauty of the natural world. A raw emotion, translated into images.

Deyrolle, a house that inspires

More than just an exhibition space, Deyrolle is a living cabinet of curiosities. Each object, each specimen tells a story. By hosting Paciderm, the company is pursuing its mission to link art and science, aesthetics and education. It’s also a way of raising awareness of the ecological emergency, without moralizing. Just by showing the beauty of living things.

A committed and exclusive work

Paciderm will be available from March 27, 2025, from Deyrolle and deyrolle.com. The print, which measures 73.7 x 51.1 cm, costs €1,740 incl. VAT. It’s not just a purchase: it’s an act of collecting, an act of support for biodiversity. Part of the project aims to remind us of the ravages of poaching. In particular, elephant poaching in many parts of the world.

An unusual collaboration

This is no simple image campaign. Johnny Depp is involved here as a visual artist. He joins a historic artistic line, alongside such figures as Picabia and André Breton. For Louis Albert de Broglie, owner of Deyrolle, this encounter was an obvious choice. The result is intimate, visual and committed. A dialogue between man and nature.

Paris hosts the event

The work will be exhibited at 46 rue du Bac, in the 7ᵉ arrondissement of Paris. An iconic location, already familiar to aesthetes, the curious and natural science enthusiasts. For Johnny Depp fans, it’s a rare opportunity to discover another facet of the artist. For art lovers, it’s a piece not to be missed.
