What if stained glass became your new craft obsession?

Expertise that spans the centuries, sparkling light at your fingertips. For the Journées Européennes des Métiers d’Art 2025, La Maison du Vitrail is exceptionally opening its Paris workshops to the public, from April 1 to 5, for a captivating plunge into the world of colored glass.

A bright address in the 15th arrondissement

Nestled in the 15th arrondissement of Paris, La Maison du Vitrail is much more than a workshop: it’s a living sanctuary for the art of glassmaking, where ancient pieces are restored and contemporary creations are imagined, always with the same exacting standards.

From 9am to 12pm and from 1pm to 6pm, visitors will have the opportunity toobserve first-hand the precise gestures of craftsmen at work: cutting, assembling, setting, painting on glass… Each stage of the stained glass process is revealed, punctuated by natural light and the palpable passion of the team.

A creative family heritage

Founded in 1973 by Christiane and Philippe Andrieux, the company is now run by their daughter, Emmanuelle Andrieux, who perpetuates this ancestral art with a contemporary vision. Here, stained glass doesn’t stand still in tradition: it also invites itself into contemporary design and architecture.

La Maison du Vitrail has made a name for itself with prestigious restorationsthe Galeries Lafayette cupola, the Maison de Famille Vuitton – as well as the creation of monumental stained-glass windows for hotels, chapels and discerning private clients. The studio is also an accredited training organization, making it as much a place of transmission as of creation.

Why go there?

Becauseit‘snot enough to see a stained glass window to understand it. You have to watch the hands that shape it, smell the lead, understand the time it takes to bring light from cut glass. All in all, a rare rendez-vous for lovers of heritage, design and rare gestures.
