Panerai welcomes a new CEO
The Richemont group continues its restructuring by announcing the appointment of Emmanuel Perrin as head of Panerai. The new management team is part of a vast reorganization of the luxury group.
A new leader for Panerai
The world of luxury watchmaking marks a new turning point with the arrival ofEmmanuel Perrin as General Manager of Panerai. After eight years as head of Specialized Watch Distribution at Richemont, as well as previous experience at Cartier and Van Cleef & Arpels, he will succeed Jean-Marc Pontroué, in post since 2018. He is due to take up his new position on April 1.
A global reorganization at Richemont
This appointment is part of a series of strategic changes made by Richemont. Since 2023, the group has renewed the management of several of its emblematic Houses. Nicolas Bos is now head of the Richemont Group. Jérôme Lambert has taken over as CEO of Jaeger-LeCoultre. Louis Ferla has been appointed CEO of Cartier. Catherine Rénier is now head of Van Cleef & Arpels. Laurent Perves has taken the reins at Vacheron Constantin.
These appointments reflect the Group’s determination to strengthen its position in a constantly evolving luxury market.
A dynamic economic environment
These changes come at a time when Richemont is posting solid results. In the first nine months of its 2024 financial year, the group recorded sales of 16.2 billion euros, up +4% at constant exchange rates. After a period of slowdown due to lower demand in China, sales rebounded with +10% growth in the last quarter of 2024.
With Emmanuel Perrin at the helm, Panerai could embark on a new phase of development, confirming the growth strategy adopted by Richemont for its watch brands.
