Monocle opens its first café-boutique in Paris

London’s famous Monocle concept is coming to Paris with a unique café-boutique. Nestled in the heart of the 2nd arrondissement, this new space fuses press, design and gastronomy.
A hybrid concept between café, bookshop and boutique
Founded in 2007 by Tyler Brûlé, Monocle is much more than a magazine: it’s a veritable lifestyle brand, available in boutiques and cafés around the world. After London and Zurich, Paris now welcomes this unique concept at 16 rue Bachaumont, in the heart of the Montorgueil district.
Behind this new address is a space designed by the Kann Design studio, which blends minimalist elegance with a New York spirit. As soon as you enter, the café invites you to savour a Ten Belles coffee, accompanied by Terroirs d’Avenir pastries or Yabaï Sando ‘s famous Japanese sandos. In the evening, the menu is more sophisticated, with cocktails and carefully selected wines.
A place dedicated to French design and craftsmanship
In addition to its café space, Monocle offers a selection of international magazines, as well as a boutique featuring fashion, accessories and design objects. Some collaborations, exclusive to Paris, feature iconic French brands such as Arpin, Charvet, Bic and Tolix.
A strategic opening for Monocle
With this Paris flagship, Monocle strengthens its presence in France and affirms its ambition to offer a unique lifestyle experience, combining press, art and gastronomy. A new landmark for lovers of Parisian elegance and art de vivre.
📍 Test it now at 16 rue Bachaumont, Paris 2e.
