Vinted creates an ephemeral showcase for vintage luxury

The second-hand luxury goods market is experiencing a new dynamic with Vinted, which is inaugurating its first ephemeral boutique, the “House of Vinted”, in London.
An immersion in second-hand luxury
For the first time, the second-hand fashion platform is taking a step forward by establishing a physical presence. On March 22, the Adira town house in London will host an exclusive showroom, accessible by invitation only to members of the platform. Called House of Vinted, the space will showcase a cutting-edge selection of vintage luxury pieces by The Row, Prada, Gucci, Maison Margiela and Jacquemus.
The event is more than just an exhibition. Visitors will discover three themed rooms. ” Art Deco Déjà Vu”, for a trip back to the Roaring Twenties. ” Modern Eclectic’s Encore”, celebrating the blending of influences. And “Cottagecore Comeback”, embodying the return of country romance.
Accessible, experiential luxury
According to Emma Sullivan, Creative Director, this initiative aims to promote timeless, lived-in luxury. To reinforce this experience, Vinted will be offering workshops on artisanal skills, including a leather embossing demonstration, as well as fashion masterclasses led by expert Manisha Sabharwal.
But none of the pieces will be sold on site. All will be posted online on Vinted from March 25. Part of the proceeds will be donated to the NGO Oxfam.
Vinted accelerates in the luxury market
With this operation, Vinted continues to strengthen its premium positioning. The platform has already entered this segment with its verification service for high-end items. A strategy that is bearing fruit: in 2023, Vinted recorded growth of +61%, reaching sales of 600 million euros.
