Les Roches Rouges: the iconic Riviera hotel reinvents Mediterranean luxury

Les Roches Rouges, the jewel in the crown of the Côte d’Azur, is getting a facelift with an ambitious extension and an even deeper immersion in the Mediterranean art of living.
Architectural renewal in the service of nature
Facing the Mediterranean and theIle d’Or,Les Roches Rouges hotel, owned by the Beaumier group, unveils a new chapter in its history in 2025. Led by architects Antoine Ricardou and Clémentine Larroumet of the ASL studio, this project aims to sublimate the surrounding nature while respecting the soul of the place.
The modernist establishment, already renowned for its harmonious integration into the landscape, sees the addition of 25 new rooms andredeveloped outdoor spaces. From now on, guests can enjoy intimate rock terraces, easy access to the sea and extensive Mediterranean gardens, a true extension of the natural relief of l’Estérel.
A hotel experience combining discreet luxury and refinement
With this project, Les Roches Rouges confirms its vision of sensitive, uncluttered luxury. Each room and suite, open to the sea, invites an intimate dialogue with the horizon. The minimalist architecture features raw, natural materials, creating a perfect harmony between the building and the seascape.
The site’s artistic signature is also asserted with works chosen to evoke the Mediterranean, such as those by Rosemarie Auberson or sculptures inspired by the nautical world of Hiromi.
Alexandre Baule’s star-studded gastronomy
One of the highlights of this transformation is the arrival of Michelin-starred chef Alexandre Baule. After making his mark at La Table de L’Alpaga in Megève, he now settles in at Les Roches Rouges to reinterpret Mediterranean and Provençal cuisine.
His gourmet restaurant, Récif, perched high above the hotel, offers an exceptional culinary experience, in which plants play a central role. Signature dishes such as calamari, petit-pois, févette and black garlic oragneau de région, zucchini et petit épeautre illustrate his respectful approach to local produce and seasonality.
Two other dining areas enhance the gastronomic offer:
- Estelo, a Mediterranean terrace serving daily grilled fish and Provencal specialties in a relaxed atmosphere.
- La Chicoula, a guinguette under the pine forest that celebrates simple pleasures with focaccia, fresh salads and homemade cocktails, punctuated by live concerts at sunset.
Between sea and mountains, an invitation to relaxation and adventure
The hotel offers a wide range of immersive experiences, from lounging by the seawater pool, to yoga sessions overlooking the Mediterranean, to bespoke treatments by Maison Caulières and Holidaymie.
For nature lovers, l’Estérel and the coastal path offer an ideal playground: hiking, biking, diving or sailing are all great ways to discover this unspoilt corner of the French Riviera.
Les Roches Rouges: a must-see Côte d’Azur destination
In 2025, Les Roches Rouges will be more than ever a haven of discreet luxury and Mediterranean authenticity. With its redesigned architecture, exceptional gastronomy and enriched range of experiences, the hotel promises total immersion in the best of the Côte d’Azur art de vivre.
