Le Comptoir des Résistants: the address for a thousand wines
With over 1000 wine references and a lunch menu that defies all competition, Le Comptoir des Résistants offers a unique gastronomic experience.
Generous, committed cuisine
Located on rue du Château d’Eau, Le Comptoir des Résistants is the latest addition to the ecosystem created by Florent Piard, celebrating authentic peasant cuisine and a selection of exceptional wines. At lunchtime, chefs Marc-Hippolyte Jandrain and Céline Ripoll revisit French classics with produce fromlocal farms.
Signature dishes include Breton Pie Noir cow pot-au-feu with a Tahitian lime twist, and line hake fish & chips with a homemade tartar sauce. For dessert, it’s impossible to resist the Camargue rice pudding, sublimated by a Breton cow’s whey caramel and Lot-et-Garonne hazelnuts. The menu, which changes daily, is priced at €22 for a starter/main course or main course/dessert, and €25 for the full menu– unbeatable value for such refined cuisine.
A haven for natural wine lovers
In the evenings, Le Comptoir transforms itself into a place of gastronomic conviviality, where sharing is at the heart of the experience. The menu features plates for sharing, such as octopus stew with Tanche olives, Solognot lamb pita or accras de vieille de ligne with fennel.
But the real star of the place remains its impressive cellar, with over 1,000 references of natural and biodynamic wines, carefully selected from 30,000 bottles and 2,500 vintages. Great names such as Château Rayas and Clos Rougeard rub shoulders with up-and-coming nuggets, offering an exceptional oenological experience.
