Bode finally settles in Paris

New York-based Bode opens its first European boutique in Paris, a tribute to French craftsmanship and elegance.

A step further into the world of luxury and Parisian fashion

Founded in 2016 by Emily Bode Aujla, the Bode brand has established itself as a benchmark in artisanal ready-to-wear, blending antique textiles, embroidery inspired by the past and contemporary cuts. Already recognized in New York, it is now a sensation in France, a finalist for the LVMH Prize and a regular presence at Paris Fashion Week.

With the opening of its first European boutique, Bode has taken a new step and confirmed its close ties with the fashion capital.

A showcase in the heart of the Palais-Royal

It’s at 6 rue de Valois, a stone’s throw from the Palais-Royal, that Bode has chosen to set up its first Parisian address. The location, rich in symbolism, evokes the historical links between the designer and France: from her earliest collections, Emily Bode Aujla used French linens, and in 2018, she dedicated a collection to her uncle’s childhood home on the Riviera.

The store’s design, imagined by Aaron Aujla, co-founder of the Green River Project, reflects this fusion of Paris and rural America. Inspired by a French hotelier with a passion for fly-fishing and wide-open spaces, the 2,000 sq. m. space combines dark wood, French silk, antiques and elements from the Banque de France. Under the store’s beams, bamboo fishing rods signed Pezon et Michel recall the inspiration of this mysterious character.

An exclusive collection for Paris

To mark this inauguration, Bode is offering an original Parisian collection of ties adorned with real fishing flies, garments made from antique French textiles, lingerie with Eiffel Tower motifs and berets designed with a traditional French milliner.
