Jil Sander: Simone Bellotti appointed Artistic Director

Following the departure of Lucie and Luke Meier, Jil Sander entrusts its artistic direction to Simone Bellotti, a designer with an impressive track record.
The fashion world leaves no room for waiting. Just hours after the last show under Lucie and Luke Meier, Jil Sander announced the arrival of Simone Bellotti as Creative Director. A swift and strategic choice, confirming the OTB group ‘s desire to strengthen the house’s identity.
A prestigious career
Brought up in Milan and trained in Antwerp, Simone Bellotti is no stranger to the world of luxury. With 16 years at Gucci, as well as experience at Dolce & Gabbana, Bottega Veneta, A.F. Vandervorst and Gianfranco Ferré, his expertise is undeniable. More recently, he was Artistic Director of Bally, where he brought a touch of modernity to the brand.
His appointment at Jil Sander reflects a clear ambition: to preserve the brand’s minimalist, sophisticated DNA while injecting a new dynamic.
A smooth transition for Jil Sander
While some houses take months to find a successor, Jil Sander has reacted with remarkable speed. According to Renzo Rosso, Chairman of the OTB Group, Simone Bellotti fully shares the brand’s strategic vision and values of innovation.
This arrival is part of a wider restructuring, also marked by the appointment of Serge Brunschwig as CEO at the beginning of February 2025. With these two appointments, Jil Sander is asserting its high-end positioning and its determination to make its mark on the international scene.
Simone Bellotti ‘s first show is eagerly awaited. Will he succeed in reinventing the house’s sleek heritage while offering it a new modernity? Find out at Fashion Week 2026.
