2 hours from Paris, discover the 500,000 tulips at Château de Cheverny
Every spring, Château de Cheverny is decked out in dazzling colors thanks to a ribbon of 500,000 tulips. An unmissable floral escapade, available from the end of March.
Why go to the Netherlands when an equally enchanting spectacle awaits you just two hours from Paris? Every year, the château, a jewel in the crown of the Centre-Val de Loire region, celebrates the blooming of 500,000 multicolored tulips, creating an enchanting vision in the heart of its sumptuous gardens.
A spectacular floral ribbon
For a decade, the tulip has been the queen of the estate. This year, the gardeners have redoubled their efforts to offer two immense floral ribbons 250 metres long and 12 metres wide. Red, pink, yellow, violet and white, these tulips form a veritable natural rainbow, stretching all the way to the château’s pond.
Cheverny, a château of timeless charm
Built in the 17th century, Cheverny was the first private château to open its doors to the public in 1922. Its Grand Siècle atmosphere appeals to lovers of history and architecture, while its vast gardens make it an idyllic place for strolling. In addition to the flower show, the Fête des Fleurs and the Fête du Printemps bring the estate to life, offering a complete experience for young and old alike.
