Looking for a Tuesday evening out of time? TheHôtel Particulier Pereire, nestled in Paris’s 8ᵉ arrondissement, opens to the public for four exceptional evenings blending history and immersive theater. A rare opportunity to discover this architectural gem while experiencing a show conceived by the Troupe du Bal Saint-Bonnet, directed by Marie-Laure Saint-Bonnet.
A hotel steeped in history
Located just a stone’s throw from Parc Monceau, the Hôtel Pereire is a work by renowned architect William Bouwens van der Boijen, built between 1879 and 1881 for Émile Pereire. The latter, along with his brother Isaac Pereire, was one of the great visionaries of the XIXᵉ century, revolutionizing the financial, transport and real estate sectors.
The building has been home to many prestigious institutions, from the Direction de la Sidérurgie to Charbonnages de France, before welcoming the Fondation Simone et Cino Del Duca, which is celebrating its 50th anniversary this year.
A unique immersive experience
As soon as you step through the doors of this private mansion, history comes alive before your very eyes. Actors in period costumes, chiseled dialogues, authentic sets: every nook and cranny of the place will plunge you into another century. An immersive experience where stones tell tales, shadows whisper and the past resurfaces to the delight of spectators.
