Viktor & Rolf makes a comeback in ready-to-wear

After a decade devoted to haute couture and fragrances, Viktor & Rolf announces its relaunch in ready-to-wear with an autumn-winter 2025 collection combining audacity and practicality.

A fusion of haute couture and everyday life

Ten years after withdrawing from ready-to-wear, Viktor & Rolf makes a remarkable comeback with a new collection designed for everyday life. In an official press release, the OTB Group brand states its intention to offer a chic and daring wardrobe, where the aesthetics of haute couture meet the functional aspects of everyday life.

“Moving from couture to ready-to-wear meant thinking fashion for real life,” explains the house. The sculptural cuts, craftsmanship and avant-gardism remain intact, but are now available in accessible, easy-to-wear pieces.

Strong silhouettes and minimalist shades

Photographed by Alessandro Furchino Capria, this first post-return collection features extra-wide balloon jeans, ruffled blouses and jackets with XXL sleeves. In terms of color, Viktor & Rolf relies on pure, timeless tones, from white to black, mint gray and sky blue.

A strategic comeback after a couture turn

Since its creation in 1993 by Viktor Horsting and Rolf Snoeren, the brand has established itself as a major player in experimental fashion. After a first foray into ready-to-wear in the 2000s, followed by a collaboration with H&M in 2006, the duo finally abandoned this line in 2015 to devote themselves to haute couture and fragrances.

This return raises the question of a new retail plan for 2025, although the brand has yet to specify whether a new boutique will open. One thing’s for sure: with this wardrobe of sculptural, wearable aesthetics, Viktor & Rolf intends to re-establish itself in the luxury ready-to-wear landscape.
