Stella McCartney revolutionizes fashion with an air-purifying bag

Always on the lookout for sustainable innovation, Stella McCartney unveils a brand-new version of its iconic Falabella bag, incorporating technology capable of neutralizing up to 90% of atmospheric pollutants.

The Falabella bag, pioneer of eco-responsible luxury

Since its launch in 2008, the Falabella has established itself as one of Stella McCartney‘s iconic designs, embodying both style and environmental commitment. Made exclusively from vegan materials, this bag has become a symbol of sustainable fashion.

Today, the British designer takes things a step further with a revolutionary version of the Falabella, developed in collaboration with Airlite, an Italian company specializing in air purification technologies.

Innovative technology for cleaner air

The novelty of this new-generation Falabella lies in its innovative coating, which functions as a genuine ecological catalyst. Inspired by the natural phenomenon of lightning, this coating uses semiconductors capable of producing an electrical charge on contact with theoxygen and water vapour present in the ambient air.

This interaction generates negative ions, which neutralize 90% of atmospheric pollutants (nitrogen oxides, sulfur oxides, fine particles…). Andeliminate 99% of bacteria, moulds and viruses.

In other words, this bag is not just an ethical and aesthetic fashion accessory, it also becomes an active tool for improving air quality.

One step closer to responsible fashion

With this initiative, Stella McCartney proves once again that innovation and sustainability can go hand in hand with luxury and design. By transforming a best-seller into an innovative ecological solution, she is paving the way for fashion that is not just sustainable, but also has a positive impact on the environment.
