Merci opens a second address in Paris

Parisian concept store Merci is expanding with a new boutique in the Richelieu district, proving that the high-end concept store model is still very much alive and kicking.

After 16 years of success in the Haut Marais, Merci has opened a second location at 19 rue de Richelieu, a stone’s throw from the Louvre. This expansion proves that, despite the closure of Colette in 2017, the Parisian concept store market remains attractive.

A unique, committed positioning

Since its opening in 2009, Merci has set itself apart by offering a cutting-edge selection of everyday objects, combining aesthetics and utility. Unlike other brands that focus on pure luxury, Merci advocates sustainable, thoughtful consumption. On its official website, the brand describes its mission as that of a “questioner of meaning”, favoring a committed approach rather than a simple response to seasonal trends.

This philosophy is reflected in its offering: refined linens, retro tableware, designer furniture and clean beauty products. The concept store attracts decorators and lifestyle enthusiasts alike, while remaining a must for Parisian customers in search of unique pieces.

Expansion designed to attract new customers

With this new boutique, Merci aims to reach an even wider audience, thanks in particular to exclusive collaborations. The latest? A collection with Californian supermarket Erewhon, specialized in organic products and a favorite with celebrities such as Hailey Bieber and Kendall Jenner. This exclusive range will be available only in the Richelieu boutique, adding an even more premium dimension to the concept store’s offering.

With this new space, Merci confirms that the era of concept stores is not over, but is evolving towards a more responsible model in tune with new consumer expectations.
