Casablanca: immersion in Japanese modernity

For its Autumn-Winter 2025-2026 collection, Casablanca, under the direction of Charaf Tajer, explores the Japanese universe, blending tradition and counter-culture in refined, contemporary creations.
A fusion of classicism and avant-garde
Inspired by two decades of observation of Japan, this collection reflects the duality that shapes the country: urbanity and nature, modernity and heritage, mainstream culture and subcultures. Casablanca thus revisits iconic elements of Japanese wardrobe, from elegant corporate uniforms to embroidered Bōsōzoku leather jackets, via kawaii and rave influences.
Subtle, innovative stylistic references
The pieces reveal a fine reading of Japanese culture, incorporating details such as calligraphy-inspired embroidery, prints depicting Nipponese landscapes and a reinterpretation of the “Kaizen” concept, the philosophy of constant improvement. Materials also play a key role in this stylistic fusion: neon rave rubs shoulders with jacquard, while sakura motifs flourish on wool-satin dresses or leather suits.
A balance between luxury and streetwear
Casablanca delivers a contemporary vision of Japan, where contrasts meet in harmony. From streetwear revisited to sophisticated tailoring, the collection illustrates a balance between technological innovation and ancestral traditions. Through this approach, Charaf Tajer celebrates a fashion that is both audacious and timeless, rooted in a dialogue between past and future.
