Picasso immersed at the Atelier des Lumières
From February 14 to June 29, 2025, the Atelier des Lumières celebrates Pablo Picasso with a unique immersive exhibition. A visual and audio journey to the heart of the Cubist master’s work.
L’Atelier des Lumières, renowned for its monumental projections, welcomes a new exhibition featuring Pablo Picasso. The Spanish artist, a central figure of Cubism, sees his paintings, sculptures and theater sets come to life in a luminous and spellbinding staging. Guernica, Les Demoiselles d’Avignon and his iconic portraits come to life before visitors’ eyes.
Total immersion in the world of Picasso
The exhibition offers a fresh perspective on Picasso’s work. The walls of the Atelier des Lumières become a moving canvas, where Cubist figures are deconstructed and recomposed. Bullfight scenes, deconstructed female portraits and lesser-known works such as theater sets and sculptures are projected in a ballet of color and form.
The experience is amplified by a carefully selected soundtrack. Music plays a key role in the staging of the works: Saint-Saëns’ Camille accompanies the bullfighting scenes with intensity, while excerpts from the La La Land soundtrack enhance the most romantic and dreamlike scenes.
A must-see event for art lovers
This immersive exhibition allows visitors to enter into Picasso’s creative dynamic, exploring the complementarity between his different artistic techniques. Longer than previous exhibitions, it offers a suspended moment in the world of one of the twentieth century’s most influential artists.
