K-Way celebrates its 60th anniversary with a fashion show and exhibition
The iconic K-Way brand marks its entry into the official Milan Fashion Week calendar with a major event: a catwalk show and exhibition celebrating six decades of style and innovation.
A tribute to K-Way’s DNA
To celebrate its 60th anniversary, K-Way has chosen to revisit its timeless heritage by highlighting its signature piece: the “Le Vrai” rain jacket, created in 1965. The Fall-Winter 2025 collection, presented at Milan’s Museo della Permanente, plays on layering and contrasting materials.
The waterproof jackets, designed in three-layer nylon, evolve with new details such as a zipper revisited in black and modernized outside pockets. The cape, conceived as a complement to the jacket or an additional sleeve, stands out as a flagship piece. For this season, the brand takes a slight departure from its unisex approach, introducing models in nylon, wool or satin, in shades ranging from burgundy to orange, blue-black and lime.
But K-Way doesn’t limit itself to outerwear: the collection also includes wool and nylon skirts, tailored cargo pants, neoprene dresses, and a capsule in collaboration with Parisian brand Cahu, offering Le Vrai 4.0 PVC and nylon bags.
An exhibition exploring the art of everyday life
In parallel with the show, K-Way unveils the exhibition “In Y/Our Life – The Hidden Side of Everyday Things”, an immersion in the brand’s heritage and the poetry of everyday life. In collaboration with Nova Express and Gianluigi Ricuperati, this exhibition brings together cult brands such as Bic, Borsalino, Moleskine, Polaroid and Rollerblade, as well as artists such as Eva Jospin, Tomáš Libertíny and Patricia Urquiola.
The exhibition, which opened in Milan on February 25, is divided into three parts:
- “Happy When It Rains”, a look back at the history of K-Way, tracing its iconic pieces and archives.
- “Everyday Icons”, which highlights everyday objects that have become indispensable through design and advertising.
- “In Y/Our Life”, an artistic interpretation of everyday life through installations inspired by iconic brands.
A global project
After Milan, the exhibition will continue its journey through the world’s major cultural events, including Photo London in May, Frieze Seoul in September and Art Basel Paris in October.
Through this celebration, K-Way not only looks to its past, but asserts its role as a timeless brand, capable of linking fashion, design and culture to make everyday life more inspiring.
