Queen Camilla adopts a new puppy with an adorable name
A dog lover, Queen Camilla recently welcomed a new four-legged companion. What’s his name? Moley. An adorable puppy with a touching past.
A spontaneous announcement during an official visit
During a visit to the Canterbury Museum on February 25, Queen Camilla met a group of visually impaired people accompanied by their guide dogs. While chatting with them, she revealed some touching news: she had just adopted an eight-week-old puppy.
The announcement quickly made the rounds on social networks, thanks in particular to a video posted on Instagram by GB News correspondent Cameron Walker. In the video, Camilla explains that her puppy is a crossbreed, a “bit of everything”, she jokes, before adding that he comes from a shelter and is calledMoley.
Buckingham Palace later confirmed that Moley was born on Boxing Day and that his mother is half Jack Russell Terrier.
A new friend after a painful loss
Camilla has always had a strong bond with animals, especially her dogs. Her love for them is not unlike that of her late mother-in-law, Queen Elizabeth II, famous for her attachment to corgis.
Moley is likely to have come from the Battersea Dogs and Cats Home, a shelter that Camilla actively supports. This same shelter had already enabled the royal couple to adopt two Jack Russell Terriers, Beth and Bluebell.
Sadly, last November, Camilla had to bid farewell to Beth, who was suffering from an incurable tumor. The royal family paid tribute to the dog in a moving message on Instagram, highlighting the joy she brought to the Queen.
With Moley and Bluebell by her side, Camilla can now find a little comfort. A new canine love story begins within the royal family!
