Louboutin x Margiela: the collab that overturns luxury codes

When two iconoclastic fashion houses unite their visions, fashion holds its breath. In March 2025, Christian Louboutin and Maison Margiela unveil a capsule collection in which sensuality and deconstruction boldly meet.
Margiela and Louboutin, two visionary worlds meet
It all began in January 2024, with Maison Margiela‘s Artisanal collection, directed by John Galliano. The result was an unprecedented collaboration: a capsule collection in which Louboutin revisited Margiela’s legendary Tabi and Galliano deconstructed Louboutin’s iconic shoes.
This alliance is expressed in seven models, each embodying a dialogue between the signatures of the two designers. Merging the glamour of Louboutin with the subversion of Margiela is the ambitious challenge of this collection.
When Tabi is adorned in red and crystals
In the Maison Margiela by Christian Louboutin line, the iconic Tabi gets a bold makeover. Available as ballet flats, pumps and sandals, it boasts a sculptural silhouette and is adorned with crystal-encrusted mesh, iridescent leather and the famous red sole.
Pieces such as the Bridiela Una Strass, a precious sandal with bridal allure, or the Marlougiela, a ballerina reinvented with minimalism, illustrate this fusion of tradition and innovation.
When Galliano deconstructs Louboutin
In the Christian Louboutin by Maison Margiela line, Galliano applies his art of deconstruction to iconic Louboutin heels. From sandals to boots, each model reveals an exposed structure, fraying effects and raw materials, playing on the balance between chaos and mastery.
Among the highlights, the Bilougiela 25 blends transparency and peeled leather, while the Xrismarteen, a knee-high boot, seems to be in the midst of a transformation. The Martoubi 25 features a red brushstroke on the heel, a nod to Margiela’s bianchetto technique.
A long-awaited release of the Margiela collab
Available from March 12, 2025, this capsule collection will be sold as a limited edition in a selection of exclusive boutiques and online. An explosive encounter between two radical visions of luxury, where excess and purity balance each other with disturbing accuracy.
