Kai Trump unveils the White House on TikTok
With over 3 million subscribers on TikTok, Kai Trump, granddaughter of President Donald Trump, recently shared a never-before-seen video from the White House, sparking a mixture of curiosity and controversy.
A presidential “room tour
At just 17 years of age, Kai Trump, a popular influencer on TikTok, surprised her subscribers by publishing a video revealing three White House state rooms. According to the New York Post, the images were captured during Donald Trump’s inauguration party on January 20.
In this video, the young woman presents her favorite rooms: the blue salon, which she deems “legendary”; the green salon, which she quickly flies over; and the red salon, which she associates with a special moment when she rehearses dance steps with her father before the ball.
We also see Kai Trump strolling the halls, chatting with her cousins and posing in a photo shoot where she fancies herself a James Bond girl in gala attire.
A video that intrigues and worries
While the vlog was a great success, it also raised questions. Isn’t filming inside the White House tantamount to exposing sensitive information? Some Internet users wonder whether the clip might reveal compromising details, notably by showing the faces of bodyguards and employees of the presidential residence.
The situation becomes even more paradoxical when we recall that Donald Trump tried to ban TikTok, arguing that the platform would transmit sensitive data to Chinese authorities. Not only has he since suspended this ban, but he also appears to be allowing his granddaughter to share exclusive images of the White House on the same network.
Strategic communication?
Although controversial, this sequence contributes to the image ofa more accessible White House under President Trump. Although the video has been removed from TikTok, it remains visible on YouTube, proving that Kai Trump has not said his last word in the world of political influencers.
