Phoebe Philo sets up shop at Galeries Lafayette Paris Haussmann

British designer Phoebe Philo takes a new step in the development of her brand with the opening of her first physical retail space in France.
Located on the 1st floor of Galeries Lafayette Paris Haussmann, this 50-square-meter shop-in-shop was inaugurated on February 19. The launch comes a few months after the opening of a first corner in London’s Dover Street Market, and coincides with the release of the brand’s second collection.
Gradual, controlled expansion
After long selling her creations exclusively online, Phoebe Philo is taking a strategic turn by multiplying partnerships with prestigious retailers. In April 2024, she made her first foray into physical sales with Bergdorf Goodman in New York, followed in September by collaborations with iconic boutiques such as 10 Corso Como in Milan, Maxfield in Los Angeles and The Webster in Miami.
The designer doesn’t stop there, however, and is also expanding in Asia, notably in Tokyo with Dover Street Market Ginza and Isetan Shinjuku, in Sydney with Parlour X, and in Seoul with Shinsegae International. A selective distribution model that reinforces the brand’s exclusive character.
A long-awaited return to the luxury landscape
After making her mark on fashion with her work at Chloé and Céline, Phoebe Philo launched her own house in 2020, with the backing of LVMH as a minority shareholder. Since then, she has surrounded herself with a strong team, including Bruno Sialelli, former creative director of Lanvin, to lead ready-to-wear design.
The opening of this new space at Galeries Lafayette Paris Haussman marks a major return to the Parisian luxury scene, confirming the influence and desirability of the Phoebe Philo brand among lovers of minimalist, sophisticated fashion.
